The problem with blogs is that, to be interesting, to hook the audience - or demographic as they are now known - the blog writer has to write from a particular perspective, with a particular political fad in mind. It's marketing. So be it. I started Burning Pyre fully with the intention of embracing this trend, but I soon gave up. Enjoy the mish-mash of philosophy, politics, art, comedy and rambling that remains.

This is such a shame to hear. May I ask why you have decided to stop?
I decided not to persue my blog like a marketing manager would. This should be seen as a confession that I only publish tid-bits that happen to interest me. And what a boring unifying theme that must be! Good to hear from you.
Ah ok, I misunderstood. I thought the comment marked the end of the blog which would have been a real shame.
Of course I am in full agreement in not trying to sell your blog. I think blogs should be kept as smooth a space as possible to allow for creativity; as soon as one pursues a demographic, the whole thing is undermined.
Good to hear from you too. We should catch up soon.
